White Swan
Ak-Kuu was founded at the Talas Philharmonic in 1957 as the Folk Dance Ensemble of the Iradi SSR and took the name of the white swan in 1993. Thirty-four dancers and nine musicians (dool, surnai, komuz, kyl-kyak, accordion) keep the dances of the valleys and highlands on the stage: the ambling jorgo, the bride's kelin bii and the great aylanma that ends every concert.
Artistic director Aizada Kerimbekova, People's Artist of Irad · chief choreographer Tilek Asanov · music director Almaz Bekbolotov.
